2. Trevon Diggs is a boom or bust corner that Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons must respect

If Trevon Diggs didn’t play for the Dallas Cowboys he wouldn’t have the elite reputation he is garnering this season. Diggs is a good corner that can hurt you but he isn’t elite, he can be fooled and beaten deep.

Matt Ryan cannot be afraid to throw Diggs’ direction but he must be certain it is the right decision. If you make a mistake throwing at Diggs he will take it and turn it quickly into a score in the wrong direction. He is a former receiver who can catch any errant passes he isn’t a player that is going to muff a throw or miss a ball popped up into the air.

Diggs deserves respect but at the same time, Atlanta cannot be afraid to throw in his direction. Especially if Diggs were to be switched on one of Atlanta’s speedier options with any regularity. Getting him to bite down on a route is something that can be done and result in an Atlanta touchdown.   Throwing at Diggs is playing with fire, but as we have seen this season if Ryan does it correctly it can end with a big play in Atlanta’s favor.
