What is better than hearing Bill Belichick gush over an Atlanta Falcons player? Not much, as it is high praise from a future Hall of Famer.

Belichick always gave former Falcons wide receiver, Julio Jones, a ton of praise, and now he is giving Kyle Pitts some of the highest praise you could ever get from a legendary coach like Belichick.

Atlanta Falcons rookie has the full attention of Bill Belichick on Thursday

There are really two playmakers on Atlanta’s offense at the moment—Cordarrelle Patterson and the aforementioned Kyle Pitts.

With Patterson’s status being in doubt, it brings up a concerning thought, Belichick is known for taking away the opposing offense’s biggest threat. If the Falcons do not have Patterson and Belichick puts all his effort into stopping Pitts, who else will make plays? It is concerning, to say the least.

Bill Belichick had some extremely nice things to say about Kyle Pitts leading up to the Falcons and Patriots game on Thursday Night Football:

"Everything is a problem, This guy, I thought last year in the draft, just watching him, he’s phenomenal. He’s big. He’s fast. He’s got great hands and adjusts to the ball. Makes tough catches. Savvy route-runner, can get open. Very hard to match up against. I was reading through some of the Atlanta comments and you hear them comparing him to a cross between Tony Gonzalez and Julio Jones, and I’d say that’s about right. That’s what it looks like. This guy is one of the superstars of the NFL already.”"

This is an interesting quote from the legendary head coach, he talks about how Kyle Pitts has every attribute you want from a tight end, size, speed, hands, adjustment to the ball, hands, and route running.

He also agrees with the thought that Pitts is a mix between Tony Gonzalez and Julio Jones, who are two of the best to ever play in the NFL.

For everyone who wanted the Falcons to skip on Pitts to take a quarterback, let this be an example of why Atlanta simply could not skip on a player like Pitts. He is the perfect tight end.

Next. Everyone is to blame for awful loss vs. Cowboys. dark
