Be glad you do not have to watch the Atlanta Falcons today

As an NFL fan, the saddest thing you can be when your team does not play on any given Sunday, is happy, but that is what Atlanta Falcons fans should be today.

The Falcons have looked terrible during their previous two games, they have been outscored 68-3. In the NFL, that is simply ridiculous and no one has fun watching a team that is that awful.

Be happy the Atlanta Falcons do not play for a little while

The Falcons next game will come against the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday. A contest between two teams that have struggled to find any momentum and continue it for multiple weeks. It is going to be the game that other fans look at and make fun of.

At this point, do we want the Falcons to beat the Jaguars?

The way the team has looked, they honestly look like a team that could contend for the first overall pick in the upcoming draft. They almost certainly will not end up with it since there is a team in Detroit that cannot buy a win.

This team is still in the wildcard hunt but even if they were to find a way to sneak in, they have shown nothing that would ever make you think they have a chance against any team they would play. Keep in mind the last seed is the one that is up for grabs, meaning they would be forced to travel on the road against the second team in the NFC.

That second team could be the Dallas Cowboys when it is all said and done, a team that the Falcons were throttled by to start this horrendous stretch.

So, at this point, we should all be rooting for a draft pick. It is blatantly obvious that this team cannot compete with top teams.

Savor the long week before the next Falcons game, we all need the break from watching an incapable offense.
