2. David Moore is an unproven option that has had some success in his career

There is nothing on tape or on paper that points to David Moore being a better option than Russell Gage at this point in their respective careers. Both have had success at times and both have struggled as of late. Moore had a lot of success with the Seahawks before struggling with the Broncos getting only two targets this season.

Moore isn’t an ideal option but he is certainly better than Olamide or Sharpe who are both receiving a lot of playing time for Atlanta. Bringing Moore in isn’t a flashy move but it is within Atlanta’s budget and does make the worst unit on their offense marginally better.

One could argue the offensive line or running back groups are worse but when you consider that Jake Matthews is a part of one group and Cordarrelle Patterson the other it becomes clear receiver is the worst position offensively for Atlanta.

Just last season Moore had 417-receiving yards and made big catches for the Seattle offense. He has had success more recently than Alshon Jeffrey though he hasn’t been the number one receiver in his career. Bringing Moore to Atlanta is a desperation move, one that gives Atlanta a bit of hope of finding the productive player Moore was in Seattle.
