1. Matt Ryan must play a mistake-free game against a dangerous Tampa Bay defense

Tampa Bay’s defense is the most confusing unit on the team. One week they look to be the dominant unit that made Patrick Mahomes look pedestrian in the Super Bowl and the next they are average and force Tom Brady to win a shootout.

Guessing which unit is going to show up on Sunday is impossible for Atlanta. Regardless of how difficult the Tampa defense makes it on Sunday Matt Ryan must play mistake-free on Sunday if Atlanta wants any chance in this game.

In the last three games, Ryan has turned the ball over with alarming regularity.  This is the game Atlanta needs Matt Ryan to be the player he was against the Saints and the MVP he is capable of being.

Before his two unfortunate interceptions that ended the game, Atlanta saw this version of Ryan the first time these two teams played. Willing his team back into a game they had already lost Ryan had Atlanta in a position to pull an upset before his two turnovers. Atlanta must have that version of Ryan to keep themselves in this game. If nothing else Ryan must feed his weapons and avoid turnovers, that alone will give Atlanta a chance, Tom Brady isn’t going to miss chances at free points Ryan needs to have an interception-free game. If he can’t it is hard to see Atlanta having any chance in this game.
