The Atlanta Falcons have no choice but to nail the 2022 NFL Draft

It is never too early to see which college stars could end up wearing an Atlanta Falcons uniform. The 2022 NFL Draft will take place from April 28 to 30, in Las Vegas, it will be a very important time for each NFL team, especially the Falcons.

As we have all seen numerous times this year, this Falcons team does not have the talent to win consistently.

If there is some good news, however, it is that they have a few franchise-type players to build around. Some of those players include A.J. Terrell, Chris Lindstrom, Grady Jarrett, Kyle Pitts, and possibly Cordarrelle Patterson, depending on if he signs another contract with the team.

It will be important for Terry Fontenot to nail this next draft. He made some splash moves in the last draft, highlighted by drafting Kyle Pitts—making him the highest-drafted tight end in NFL history.

Of course, it is vital for him to nail the first round, but for a team in the position that Atlanta is in, it will be paramount for him to hit on the later-round picks.

In his first draft class, we all know what Kyle Pitts is and will become but his later-round picks have a bit of uncertainty around them. Richie Grant, Darren Hall, and Jalen Mayfield have struggled mightily, while Drew Dalman and Avery Williams have been decent when given the opportunity. It will likely take a few years to see what exactly Atlanta has in them.

It is worth noting that the Falcons have an extra second-round pick, but do not own a seventh-round selection in the upcoming draft. These are due to the Julio Jones and Lee Smith trades.

So, here is who the Atlanta Falcons could potentially take in the upcoming NFL Draft:
