If there is one thing that has kept the Atlanta Falcons watchable this season it has been an all-time easy schedule. Atlanta has played the Jets, Dolphins, Saints, Jaguars, and the Giants. This doesn’t include games the Falcons dropped to the Sam Darnold-led Carolina Panthers or the Washington Football Team.

Sure when Atlanta has played a real contender this season it has been ugly, but for now, at least Atlanta has remained watchable competing in the majority of their games thanks to a light schedule.

A schedule that will have the Falcons taking on the Panthers in a game where both teams will be attempting to climb back into the wildcard race.   Carolina will be coming off of a bye week while Atlanta will be attempting to bounce back from yet another loss handed to them courtesy of one Tom Brady.

This week, however, there is a real reason for optimism against a Carolina team that has struggled badly this season after a hot start. The Panthers are a team that Atlanta can beat and one of the few possible remaining wins on the schedule.

While optimism may be at a new low after being demolished by Brady and the Bucs here are three reasons that Atlanta Falcons should be approaching this week with a measure of confidence.
