The draft is where the Atlanta Falcons must set their future up

Look at every good team around the league and you will see one thing in common—great drafting—which is a lot of the reason the Falcons have struggled during the past few years.

One pick can either help your franchise excel or go straight into the dumps, the big one for the Falcons came when they took Takkarist McKinley over T.J. Watt in the first round. If they would have taken Watt, one could argue that this team would be vastly different.

It shows how big of an impact each and every draft pick has on each franchise.

The goal for Terry Fontenot is to stack up as many great players on the Falcons as possible, whether he does that by trading down to acquire more chances at finding a future All-Pro player, or not, is something he must decide.

There are so many ways you can approach the draft, no one way is right or wrong, it just comes down to hitting on as many picks as possible.

This will determine the future of the Falcons, they must be able to acquire talent across the depth chart, as they are currently lacking it despite being in the playoff race.
