Round 4, Pick 113: Isaiah Thomas (EDGE) – Oklahoma

If you are the Falcons, why not take as many shots as you can when it comes to your pass-rushing group? The more shots you take, the more likely you are to hit the target.

With Isaiah Thomas, the Falcons get another high upside player who has NFL-caliber size and quickness. He is someone who could develop into a dominant pass rusher in the league, which is exactly the thing that Atlanta needs.

Round 4, Pick 132: Channing Tindall (LB) – Georgia

Yet another Georgia player goes to the hometown Atlanta Falcons, this time it is due to the prediction that Foye Oluokun does not end up resigning with the Falcons and ends up elsewhere.

Much like every other linebacker for Atlanta, Tindall is a quick player. He has the athleticism to break on passes or blitz when Dean Pees calls for it. He also provides value as a special teamer which is always evaluated with later round selections.

Round 5, Pick 152: Zach Charbonnet (RB) – UCLA

Arthur Smith loves his power runners and that is exactly what Zach Charbonnet would bring to the Falcons running game. This pick is made with a prediction that Mike Davis will end up being released to save some cap room.

Zach Charbonnet runs with power that Arthur Smith would love, and he also is a one-cut and get-upfield player. He does not attempt to get around you but tries to go through you and then he has the ability to turn on the jets to break off long runs. He would be excellent to pair with Cordarrelle Patterson, assuming he is back for next season.

Round 6, Pick 188: Charlie Kolar (TE) – Iowa State

We all know how much Arthur Smith likes to line up in two or three tight end sets, and with the likely departure of Hayden Hurst, the Falcons need to find someone who can attempt to replace him, that is where Charlie Kolar fits in.

He is a solid six-foot-six and 260 pounds, and he also has some of the best production in the nation among tight ends. His size allows him to be a threat as a blocker, while also having the ability to jump over defenders. He is a guy who must use his size to catch passes, although, as he is not the most fluid athlete out there.
