Third gift: The emergence of a cornerstone player for the Falcons defense.

A.J. Terrell has been special for the Atlanta Falcons defense during this season, he really has been the best corner in the NFL when you consider everything.

Terrell is a piece that the Falcons can build around for the next decade. There may not be a lot to like for the defense as a whole, but Terrell should be penciled in as an all-pro corner for the foreseeable future, he is that special.

Many people criticized the Falcons for taking him so high in the draft in 2020, but those same people are real quiet now.

Just look at the following statistic when it comes to the past four games:

This shows what kind of player that Terrell is, he has not allowed more than one catch and ten yards in four straight games. No one else in the NFL can claim that.

He does all of this despite the fact that he plays on a defense that is horrendous. He has no pass rush to benefit from, so he has to cover that much longer. He receives little help from his other corners and safeties, he is basically doing this by himself.

No team has a worse pass rush than the Atlanta Falcons, therefore, no cornerback is helped out as little as A.J. Terrell. This just adds to his resume.

Hopefully, his dominant play will continue in the years to come, he is a special player and someone that Atlanta should be ecstatic to have on their defense.

Next. Arthur Smith's horrendous play-calling. dark
