Full mock draft: Atlanta Falcons snag top wide receiver
*Trade*
Falcons get: picks 43, 115
Washington Football Team get: pick 41
Round 2, Pick 43: Myjai Sanders (EDGE) – Cincinnati
There is no question in anyone’s mind that the Falcons must find help along the defensive line. They arguably have the worst defensive line in the entire NFL, and that was obvious against the 49ers.
Myjai Sanders brings the length and explosion that the Falcons do not have. He is the type of player who will play until the whistle is blown and will never give up. He has the traits to become one of the dominant pass rushers in the NFL, which is what Atlanta so desperately needs right now.
Round 2, Pick 58: Nik Bonitto (EDGE) – Oklahoma
To repeat what was previously said, Atlanta needs all the help they can get on the defensive line, there is no denying that. If you are Terry Fontenot, why not double-dip on taking edge rushers? If they project into the scheme, then pull the trigger.
Nik Bonitto is a different player than Sanders, he may not have as high of an upside as Sanders as a pure pass rusher, but he can be one of the most versatile defenders out there. He is able to rush the passer and drop into coverage, which could be very beneficial if Foye Oloukun goes elsewhere.
Round 3, Pick 73: Devonte Wyatt (DT) – Georgia
Three straight picks have the Falcons taking defensive lineman to help turn that group around. This time they take an interior lineman from close to home.
Devonte Wyatt is among the many amazing Georgia defensive lineman, he is a big powerful player who will exclusively line up inside. He has the power to push the pocket on passing plays, so he does not just have an impact on run plays.
