You have probably heard by now that two Atlanta Falcons got selected for this year’s Pro Bowl—Kyle Pitts and Josh Harris.

You have also probably heard all the chatter about Cordarrelle Patterson and A.J. Terrell being snubbed from the Pro Bowl, which there is no question that is true, but one other Falcons player was also snubbed and not many people are talking about him.

Falcons guard, Chris Lindstrom, should have been selected to the Pro Bowl

Offensive linemen are known for not being talked about in the media, which is no doubt why Falcons fans are not talking about Chris Lindstrom and the spectacular season he has put together.

All the talk has been about Cordarrelle Patterson and A.J. Terrell, for good reason, but Lindstrom’s name should be thrown into that conversation as well, he has been one of the best guards in the league this season.

When evaluating offensive linemen there are obviously very few stats that you can look at, so you need to dig deeper when finding the best, one way to do that is to look at their Pro Football Focus grades.

Chris Lindstrom has put together a grade of 83.7 overall, which puts him as the sixth-highest-rated guard in the entire league. If you take out players who have played very minimal snaps, he is the fourth-highest-rated guard.

That right there should give him an entrance right into the Pro Bowl, but the name recognition around the league and fans is just not there yet.

Not to mention, he plays on one of the worst offensive lines in all of the NFL, so people automatically assume that every individual player must not be playing well—that is far from the case.

The fact that he plays on such a bad offensive line should make his resume even stronger, he has to pick up a lot of the slack for the guys next to him.

Going forward, hopefully, Lindstrom will start getting the media attention he deserves. He is a phenomenal player and a building block for years down the road.
