The Atlanta Falcons have a long road ahead if they want to compete in 2022

There is no question that it has been an up and down year for the Falcons in 2021. There have been a handful of things that should make fans excited for the future, but the contrary is true too, there is a lot of issues with the team.

Terry Fontenot needs to make a plan for 2022 and target specific needs, whether in the draft or in free agency. The team may not have too much money, so the draft seems like the more likely choice when trying to fix the roster.

The Falcons need a lot of depth when you see the roster as a whole. They basically need to address each and every position during the offseason, it is the harsh reality.

If guys like Hayden Hurst and Foye Oluokun end up leaving, then those are two big names you must replace, even if the team still has Kyle Pitts, Arthur Smith loves his two and three tight-end personnel.

In other words, Terry Fontenot and the staff have a lot of work to do, and honestly, it would take a miracle to put together a competitive roster for the 2022 season, just look at all the holes on the roster, but they have to start somewhere.
