The Atlanta Falcons defense has not been good this season, they continue to give up easy yards due to their invisible pass rush.

They have had no chance to stop anyone with their undermanned defensive line, this is something they must address going into next season, whether that be in the draft or free agency.

The Atlanta Falcons defense has some surprising stats to their name

The first statistic that is absolutely shocking when you look at the Falcons defense is that they are the only team this season that has not given up a play of 40 yards or more.

Not only are they the only team to not have given up a play over 40 yards, but the team with the second least given up is the Buccaneers who have given up five. It is hard to believe as the Falcons defense has not exactly lit it up this year.

This shows how well teams have been able to methodically move their way down the field with ease, that is how teams are attacking Dean Pees’s defense.

The next stat that will blow your mind is that Atlanta has given up the fourth-least 20 plus yard runs in the NFL with four total. Only the Giants, Rams, and Titans have given up less with each of them giving up a total of three.

Atlanta’s longest rush they have given up is 23 yards, which is the shortest in the whole league. The Chiefs come in second with a long run of 31 yards.

The last stat comes in the passing game where the Falcons have given up a long completion of 38 yards and the second team on the list is the Raiders with a long of 52 yards.

It is just hard to believe that these stats are associated with a defense that has been so bad this year, it shows that stats do not always give you the full picture.
