4. Marcus Mariota could get another shot at a starting job if he leaves the Raiders

Marcus Mariota is one of the more interesting options on the quarterback market this off-season. The quarterback still has elite speed and the ability to make things happen with his legs. His issues and shortcomings have been well covered and make him a starter only for a desperate team.

Without Ryan, the Falcons are just that, a desperate team with little to count on. Mariota would bring what a small contingent of Falcons fans have seemingly been clamoring for, a mobile quarterback who can make things happen outside of the pocket.

Mariota spent his first few seasons with the Titans before they opted to go with Ryan Tannehill and build around their running game. Having watched the Titans over the last two seasons it is interesting to wonder what Mariota would have looked like in that particular Titans offense.

With A.J. Brown, Julio Jones, and Derrick Henry it is hard to think Mariota wouldn’t have had a measure of success. He did help drive the Titans to the playoffs and have his share of memorable highlights in Tenessee.

Mariota isn’t a long-term option but he would certainly be more fun to watch than Dalton and give Atlanta a bit of a different look to their passing attack.
