The most interesting story for the Atlanta Falcons in this year’s draft will be whether or not they decide to draft a quarterback. While they are locked in with Matt Ryan for another season opting to add a young backup is a no-lose situation.

Worst case scenario for Atlanta you have a Josh Rosen-type player sitting behind Matt Ryan just as you do this year. In the best-case scenario, you acquire your quarterback of the future who can learn behind one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

As of now, there are two obvious players that Atlanta is unlikely to have a shot at acquiring. Kenny Pickett and Matt Corral are both likely to be the first two quarterbacks off the board if nothing changes between now and draft day.

The Atlanta Falcons would have to take a chance on a quarterback with lower expectations headed into the draft

If the Atlanta Falcons decided to spend one of their very coveted draft picks on a quarterback it will be mid-first round or early on in the second round meaning they will have to take a chance on developing a quarterback and not pick one of the top prospects in this year’s draft. If that is what they choose to do here are the team’s three best options.
