For this particular Atlanta Falcons mock draft, we opted to go with NFL Mock Draft Simulator with the only rule being the Falcons are looking to trade down to amass picks and all players taken must be from the SEC.

While this is obviously not the approach the Falcons will take it was interesting to see how a draft could turn out targeting only SEC players.

Currently, the Atlanta Falcons are sitting with the 10th pick in the draft though this is likely to change after Sunday’s finale. For now, however, that is where Atlanta’s first draft pick sits.

The Atlanta Falcons first move in the draft is trading the 10th overall pick to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for the 13th pick and a 2023 2nd round pick

For a team like the Falcons, this is the perfect move amassing a future pick for their rebuild without moving very far.

Atlanta is going to need as many draft picks as they can acquire over the next two seasons. With limited cap space, their rebuild is going to have to be in house as they will be unable to afford any top free-agent options.

This trade leaves Atlanta with the 13th pick and picking a player who would make a huge impact next season
