Atlanta Falcons: Matt Ryan could win a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints
By Nick Halden
The year is 2024 Matt Ryan is finally a Super Bowl champion lifting the Lombardi as Atlanta Falcons fans sit at home in tears. Not tears of joy you might expect from a Matt Ryan championship but those of years of frustration and pain that have been perfectly end-capped with the worst indignity of them all Matt Ryan winning a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints.
Hated Saints rivals celebrating the accomplishment of a man who for so long embodied Atlanta Falcons football. Ryan getting the accolades he has long deserved as a member of Atlanta’s biggest rival.
The only small joy Atlanta Falcons fans can find is the fact that Tom Brady finally lost and NFC Championship and Ryan is getting the respect he deserves. Watching Michael Thomas win Super Bowl MVP is the final straw for a fanbase whose team deserves to be relegated.
The Atlanta Falcons continue to search for a franchise quarterback while Matt Ryan and the Saints celebrate winning it all
Malik Willis still isn’t developing into the quarterback of the future only the Atlanta Falcons thought he was and they are stuck without any answers and watching their ex-quarterback set records and win it all with their hated rival.
Now perhaps this reality is yet to happen or perhaps one could surmise it is one of many Madden simulations an unnamed individual has run to project the next decade of football, who can really say.
What we do know is this is a reality that makes far too much sense and simply cannot happen. Matt Ryan as a member of the New Orleans Saints would be in contention for a Super Bowl as long as he was healthy.
The Saints are the only team that seems to have Tom Brady’s number and with Drew Brees were in contention nearly every year. With a healthy Thomas, and Kamara the offense is solid and the defense is going to keep them in games regardless of who the quarterback under center is.
Attesting to that is the fact that with a certain unnamed utility player cosplaying as a quarterback New Orleans remained in playoff contention into the final week of the 2021 season.
A season that saw New Orleans realize that with an answer at quarterback they once again would be a Super Bowl team. With Matt Ryan, the Saints are a Super Bowl team destined to win it all and bring more misery to a fan base still in recovery.
This is a future not one Falcons fan would be okay with and must be prevented at all costs. Whether it is trading Ryan to the AFC or letting him go out on his own terms in Atlanta there is one end that simply can’t happen and that is allowing Ryan to find his way to the New Orleans Saints.
