The Atlanta Falcons are headed into an off-season full of questions. Rumors have circulated around franchise cornerstone Matt Ryan and Calvin Ridley’s future has been speculated on. While Ridley is likely to be the biggest story currently on Atlanta’s roster there are a lot of key decisions to be made.

Offensively Atlanta needs to build an offensive line that doesn’t ask Matt Ryan to take the level of punishment he has the last couple of seasons.  With Cordarrelle Patterson heading into free agency Atlanta will have a huge decision to make at the running back position as well.

Defensively Atlanta has two players to build around in A.J. Terrell and Grady Jarrett but little else. Finding help in the trenches through free agency and the draft will be the focus for a team that simply cannot win on the line of scrimmage on either side of the ball.

If the Atlanta Falcons want to improve this off-season they cannot be content with the mediocrity that is the Atlanta roster

While this may seem a bit harsh we saw time and time again this season Atlanta cannot hang with the better teams in the leauge. Matt Ryan and their coaching style were enough to beat their fellow bad teams but even then it was often too close.

For the Atlanta Falcons to improve this off-season they can’t be afraid to make big moves. Starting with moving on from three players in particular who aren’t going to help this team win next season.
