1. Atlanta was crazy to bring Dante Fowler Jr. back they cannot repeat that mistake

Dante Fowler Jr. is a perfect example of how not to approach free agency. The Atlanta Falcons made the mistake initially of signing Folwer after he enjoyed playing in a perfect Ram’s scheme alongside Aaron Donald.

Two years later and it is easily one of the worst free agency signings in recent memory. The only consistent thing that Fowler brought to the Falcons was a consistent ability to whiff on the tackle if he managed to get close.

Fowler shouldn’t be given another year in Atlanta no matter how desperate the Falcons are for edge rushers. Even the much-maligned former Falcon Vic Beasley Jr. managed to make more of a defensive impact even in his worst seasons.

Fowler is a player who Atlanta whiffed on and needs to be sent to a team that could use a depth rusher.  Everything around him must be working for Fowler to find success, a success he isn’t going to find in Atlanta anytime soon.

Atlanta badly needs to find a pass rusher who can make a difference even when he isn’t getting to the quarterback. Whether it is a big swing in free agency or an early-round draft pick Atlanta will need to address the position early on this off-season.
