3. Can Deion Jones bounce back after a rough 2021 season?

Deion Jones wasn’t the same player in 2021, there was a noticeable and concerning level of regression. Whether it is the new scheme or an unknown injury that slowed Jones his level of play in 2021 wasn’t to the level the Falcons are used to seeing.

If Atlanta can add pass-rushing help and Jones can bounce back this Atlanta defense will take a huge step forward. While they lacked personnel the one noticeable difference this season was the effort the defense played with.

Hustle and effort weren’t enough considering their lack of talent but if they can add pass rush help and Jones can bounce back to form Atlanta will have a defense headed in the right direction.

A.J. Terrell and Grady Jarrett are both locked in next season and will be solid building blocks. Whether in free agency or the draft Atlanta will likely add help both along the defensive line and in the secondary.

Finding a corner to pair with Terrell and multiple pass rushers to pair with Jarrett will be a priority early on for Atlanta.
