1. Could Randy Gregory help bring the pass rush back to life in Atlanta?

Randy Gregory has had an up-and-down career one that will likely have him signing a short-term contract this off-season. He is likely to be in Atlanta’s price range and fits exactly what the team is looking for in a rotational edge rusher.

While he may have only totaled six sacks during the 2021 season he often flashed on tape and consistently was near the football. Signing Gregory isn’t a homerun move but it is one that brings Atlanta a solid edge rusher their roster currently lacks.

Signing Gregory would be a sign that Atlanta will attempt to solve their pass-rushing issue by signing and drafting a myriad of options. This is the ideal way to fix the Atlanta pass rush not risk one splashy and expensive acquisition.

Atlanta is going to have to slowly build their pass rush and that means bringing in veterans like Gregory. While he would project as a rotational player he would instantly become Atlanta’s best pass rusher if signed today speaking to the lack of talent Atlanta has at the position.

Randy Gregory is a low-risk signing that puts Atlanta a step in the right direction and gives them a chance at finding a much-needed impact player at the position.
