2. Could the Falcons consider reuniting with Keanu Neal?

Neal spent his best seasons with the Atlanta Falcons before injuries completely derailed his career. Two emotional season-ending injuries took some of Neal’s speed and ended his tenure with the Falcons.

Two years later Neal is heading in free agency and should have a solid market including his former team. No longer a safety Neal played a linebacker hybrid position better suited to his hard-hitting skill set.

At the right price, it is hard to see any fan not wanting Neal to rejoin the Falcons. His hard-hitting playstyle is what made his time in Atlanta so memorable. Bringing him back is highly unlikely but it is a move that the Falcons could explore at the very least.

Much like Gregory Neal is a rotational player at this point in his career and isn’t going to be the playmaker he was in his first two years with Atlanta. However, he is a tone-setter who would improve the Atlanta defense and give them much-needed depth.

Keanu Neal coming back to Atlanta is a fun story that improves the defense. The concern here is the limited cap space for a position Atlanta already has a bit of depth at. While he should be low on the list Neal is a player that should be a consideration for the Falcons.
