There are a lot of questions surrounding the Atlanta Falcons receiving group heading into next season. Cordarrelle Patterson and Russell Gage are both free agents leaving Atlanta possibly without their top two targets from the 2021 season.

Calvin Ridley’s future is up in the air after the receiver missed much of the season dealing with off-the-field issues. Ridley’s health and well-being should be Atlanta’s focus but it will be important to find out if he is playing a role on the team going forward.

Even if Atlanta managed to bring back Ridley, Gage, and Patterson it was obvious the team still needed help at the position.

The Atlanta Falcons must make at least two impactful additions at the receiver position this off-season

Whether it is through the draft or free agency Atlanta needs to find a player capable of replacing the production Atlanta lost when they traded Julio Jones. Adding a number one receiver as well as a veteran depth option should be high on Atlanta’s priority list.

There isn’t one receiver Atlanta has on their current roster that they can count on next season. This leaves the team in need of at least two receivers even if they managed to bring back Ridley and Patterson.  There are five receivers in this free-agent class in particular that Atlanta should be targeting.
