1. If he doesn’t retire Atlanta should attempt to sign Danny Amendola

Danny Amendola has a history of making clutch catches no matter what team or quarterback he is placed with. His more memorable catches came with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots during their dominating run.

Now Amendola has slowed a step and isn’t the player he used to be. However, he is still more than capable of making a clutch catch and impacting the game. Signing Amendola would give Matt Ryan an experienced veteran who isn’t afraid of the moment.

Putting Amendola in the slot as the third or fourth option would be great for Atlanta and give them a player that can help mentor their young receivers. The obvious hurdle to this proposed situation is whether or not Danny wants to keep playing and whether he would be willing to play with the Atlanta Falcons?

Considering he spent his last two seasons with the Lions and the Texans if anything coming to Atlanta would be an upgrade. It would give Amendola the best quarterback he has played with since Tom Brady as well.

Overall signing Amendola checks all the boxes for Atlanta, a cheap veteran free agent capable of making a huge impact. Amendola isn’t going to solve Atlanta’s receiving issues, but he is a much-needed depth piece that makes the team better.
