2. If the Atlanta Falcons trade Calvin Ridley now it would be at his lowest value

Even if Calvin Ridley does want to part ways with Atlanta the Falcons should force Ridley to rebuild value.  Ridley demanding a trade makes very little sense when you consider why he walked away from football and where he is in his career.

He is one year away from hitting free agency and is coming off of his worst season so far. Even when Ridley was on the field early this season for Atlanta he struggled and wasn’t the same player Atlanta was used to seeing.

Trading Ridley right now is a terrible idea for Atlanta considering his value is at the lowest it has been thus far through his career.  After a season of not playing and needing time away from football, what leverage does Ridley have to force a trade?

The only caveat to this should be if Ridley needs a change of scenery for his well-being. If that is the case Atlanta should absolutely pull the trigger and move on from Ridley. It isn’t the right business move if this is purely about football but if it is what is best for Ridley the person, it is a move that Atlanta should make without hesitation.
