2. Chris Godwin

There is no questioning how badly the Atlanta Falcons need to add help at the receiver position this off-season. Russell Gage is set to be a free agent and Calvin Ridley’s future has been in question since he stepped away from the game. Whether it is through the draft or free agency I would expect Atlanta to take a swing at finding a number one receiver that they currently lack.

Chris Godwin’s career trajectory was great with Tampa but his value took a huge jump when he played with Tom Brady. Godwin is a good receiver and will have a solid career no matter what quarterback he chooses to team up with.

Godwin isn’t a fit for Atlanta and will be looking to cash in after winning a championship with Brady. Chris Godwin coming to Atlanta would benefit the Falcons but he isn’t the right fit for a franchise that is going to need to make multiple additions at the position.

If Atlanta were to take a swing in free agency Odell Beckham Jr. makes far more sense and brings the skill set that Atlanta needs. Otherwise, Atlanta would be better served to attempt to bring Calvin Ridley back and add veterans and draft picks to fix the position.
