Anthony Firkser

If you want to place a bet on a tight end that the Atlanta Falcons will sign, Anthony Firkser would be your best bet.

Arthur Smith was one of Firkser’s coaches for the entirety of his career, minus last year of course. That is the reason he has a high likelihood of becoming a Falcon. He even had his best season in Arthur Smith’s final season as the Titan’s offensive coordinator.

Firkser will be entering his fifth year in the league and while he has never been great, he has been a decent option for his former team.

He has never totaled over 400 yards, so who knows how much he can realistically provide in the passing game and if he could take over for Hayden Hurst.

While Hurst was hurt for much of the season, Firkser actually had better stats than Hurst, but again, there is a big stipulation to that with the injuries that Hayden suffered.

Another downside to Firkser is that he has never been much of a red-zone threat, as he has totaled five touchdowns over four seasons. Certainly not the type of production you are looking for.

While Firkser might not be the most flashy option, he is still a quality player and will be relatively inexpensive.
