3 Players the Atlanta Falcons could target to replace Ridley
2. Draft David Bell In The Second Round
When you look at this year’s wide receiver class it’s not as deep as in recent years but it is incredibly top heavy and features numerous players that will be playing on Sundays for years to come. David Bell doesn’t possess much speed, but we already knew that which makes his 4.65 forty time not that much of a draft-altering clock in. Just like the player above in Allen Robinson, speed isn’t impressive but everything else both players can provide is.
Bell can line up inside or outside and his frame isn’t exactly overwhelming (6’0, 212) but he isn’t small to where he can’t win on the outside. Bell possesses terrific balance and hands but his crisp route running and separation skills are what makes him stand apart.
Considering who will likely be available when the 45th overall pick creeps up, anyone else might be considered an overdraft but Bell would be an exception. Drafting Bell won’t fix Atlanta’s issues at the position but it would be a step in the right direction. Atlanta is going to need to draft and sign free agents at the position considering their extreme lack of depth.
