As the Atlanta Falcons are on the wide receiver hunt, one name the Falcons should keep be keeping on their radar is Will Fuller.

After playing just two games in 2021, Fuller is going to be looking for a deal that will give him the chance to prove himself. If the Atlanta Falcons play their cards right, they could potentially land the wideout on a cheap one-year deal.

Fuller possesses the speed to create deep passing plays but also has the ability to be a high-octane playmaker and get key first downs. Playing beside De’Andre Hopkins for most of his career, he established himself as a solid second wide receiver. When he played second to Brandin Cooks in 2020, his production grew exponentially.

In 2020 with the Houston Texans, Fuller posted career highs in almost every receiving category, hauling in 53 receptions and accounting for 879 yards and 8 touchdowns, averaging over 16 yards per reception in 11 games.

Fuller’s 2020 season was cut short after he was suspended six games for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drugs policy.

The Miami Dolphins signed Fuller to a one-year, $10m contract on March 20, 2021.

Will Fuller made his 2021 debut after missing the first game of the season due to a suspension from 2020 and the second due to personal reasons. However, Fuller went down with a broken thumb in Week 4 of the season and didn’t play for the rest of the season.

In 2021, Fuller played in two games, hauling in just four receptions for 26 yards and no touchdowns.

Will Fuller has shown to be a solid player when healthy and played a key role in offenses he was a part of when healthy. If the Atlanta Falcons can sign him to a cheap one-year contract, it might be worth it to give the receiver a chance to prove himself. It seems likely Fuller would outplay the contract and give the Falcons a surprising source of offense. Especially when you consider the fact he would likely be paired with veteran Matt Ryan. Bringing Fuller to Atlanta is a move that would pay off long-term and bring some much needed speed and depth to Atlanta.
