1. Wide Receiver

A year ago would any have ever thought that the Atlanta Falcons weakest position in the near future would be wide receiver?

It shows how fast things can turn in the NFL, especially when a couple players demand their way out or make a stupid mistake.

The Falcons went from having Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, and Russell Gage to having the worst group of receivers in the NFL.

  • Frank Darby
  • Austin Trammell
  • Chad Hansen

That in total is a combined 27 catches for 344 yards of NFL experience. 26 of those catches and 330 of those yards come from one player while on another team—Chad Hansen

So, basically, the Falcons have a total of one catch for 14 yards when it comes to receivers catching passes in a Falcons uniform.

Is there anything else that needs to be said?

This is a position that the team is bound to target early in free agency,  whether they resign Russell Gage or make a splash by signing Allen Robinson or D.J. Chark. Any one of those options would be a huge boost to this position.

Whatever it takes, the team needs to find a few established players at wide receiver.
