It feels like the Atlanta Falcons have been watching numerous free agents walk out the door for new teams.

With Foye Oluokun signing a big deal to go to Jacksonville and Russell Gage signing with a division rival, the Falcons are losing players left and right. Now they have lost another player who has been with the team for a long time.

Falcons lose one of their two Pro Bowlers from this past season

Long snapper, Josh Harris, who has been an Atlanta Falcon ever since 2012, has signed with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Finally, Josh Harris had made it to a Pro Bowl, but of course, the following offseason is when the Falcons decide to let him walk.

This is a pretty good deal for a long snapper, he is definitely now making more money than almost all long snappers.

Overall, it was probably a good idea for the Atlanta Falcons to let him walk for this price, as you can always find a new one for a lot cheaper.

The Falcons will likely look to the undrafted market following the 2022 NFL Draft. It might be time to find a younger option and go on from there.

This is no disrespect to Josh Harris, after all, he is now a Pro Bowl snapper, meaning he is one of the best in the game and certainly his new contract with the Chargers signals that. The Chargers think highly of him, and rightfully so, as they have given him just under two million in guaranteed money. Again that is a good payday for a long snapper in the NFL.

It will be sad to see him go, he has been the team’s lone player at the position for a decade. Hope he is able to keep up his consistency in Los Angeles.
