The Atlanta Falcons were quiet early in free agency opting only to sign one big contract bringing back star kicker Younghoe Koo. Outside of this deal, all of the Atlanta Falcons headlines have been centered around their interest and meeting with Deshaun Watson and what this could mean for Matt Ryan?

Understandably lost in the quarterback news is the fact that Atlanta has lost multiple key contributors in free agency. While the focus has been on Matt Ryan and Deshaun Watson the fact that the quarterback position is not the problem has been lost in Atlanta.

So far the Falcons haven’t lost any players they can’t replace but they will certainly need to make moves with key departures.  Already needing help along the offensive and defensive line and badly in need of receivers Atlanta’s list or roster needs is seemingly going in the wrong direction.

The Atlanta Falcons shouldn’t have been on trading for Deshaun Watson but on retaining their own players and fixing a roster that needs talent

While not every player that slipped past Atlanta needed to return there were key departures that will hurt the Falcons during the 2022 season. Here are the three biggest players Atlanta has lost so far.
