3. Bring back veteran tight-end Austin Hooper

Hooper left Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons for Baker Mayfield and the Browns. Two years later and Hooper has been cut and will be a free agent yet again. Bringing back one of Matt Ryan’s former favorite targets would be a great step towards helping Ryan want to stay with Atlanta.

At the moment Atlanta lacks a clear second option at the tight-end position. Kyle Pitts is great but Atlanta could use a replacement for Hayden Hurst and Austin Hooper could step in and fill his role. He is a better target and worked well with Ryan during his time in Atlanta.

Last season Hooper finished with only 345-receiving yards and didn’t wasn’t as consistent as the Browns and their fans had hoped he would be. In comparison, Hooper’s last season with Ryan and the Falcons saw him finish with 787-receiving yards and find the end-zone six times despite being the third option on the team.

If there is one thing Atlanta fans should know Ryan has always worked well with his tight-ends and loves getting them involved in the game plan. Bringing back Austin Hooper is another step in the right direction and gives Ryan some much-needed help at a position that needs to be addressed.
