3 Best Calvin Ridley replacements for the 2022 Atlanta Falcons
By Nick Halden
1. Sign Julio Jones
Until Julio Jones retires there is reason to think the veteran can be a big contributor to your team. He has played at too high of a level for far too long for one terrible season to completely discount what he has done in this league. It is possible he is washed up, even so is there anyone who thinks he isn’t an upgrade of Atlanta’s current options? There is a good chance Jones could come back to Atlanta and bounce back on a one-year deal and give him another shot at free agency next season.
The one downside to this move is obvious, Jones would be joining an Atlanta team that is rebuilding not one that is going to earn him that elusive ring. However, Jones will be a huge target and a much larger part of the offense than he would almost anywhere else in the league. This is both based on his history in Atlanta and the fact they simply have no other answers at the position.
Jones would be a great player to bring alongside young Kyle Pitts as well and give Atlanta a veteran presence they lack on their current roster. Bringing Julio back to Atlanta would be a win in an off-season that has been far from ideal.
