3. Jarvis Landry is still a great receiver and younger than Jones or Green

Jarvis Landry has been connected to the Atlanta Falcons and makes a lot of sense for a team desperate for an answer. It is completely possible Atlanta signs Landry as well as a veteran and chooses to draft a receiver. These three moves combined with Ridley’s return next season should be enough to allow Atlanta to fix the position.

Landry and Ridley paired with a draft selection in the 2023 season should be a good setup along with Cordarrelle Patterson and Kyle Pitts who will both still be under contract. It appears at this point in the off-season that Atlanta is playing for their future, not for this season.

Signing Landry, however, makes this season a bit easier to watch for your fanbase and sets your team up for success next season. The one concern with Landry is the fact the Browns were willing to cut him ahead of their trade for Watson.  This comes on the heels of the Browns cutting Austin Hooper and moving on from Odell Beckham Jr.

We watched how Odell’s departure played out and how his production skyrocketed after leaving the Browns. Hooper didn’t stay in free agency long at all with the Titans quickly locking the former Atlanta tight-end to a contract. The point here being Landry wasn’t the problem, it was Cleveland that is the obvious problem and Landry continued to produce despite what appears to be a very dysfunctional team.  Landry would bounce back in Atlanta and give the Falcons an answer at receiver.
