3. The Indianapolis Colts spent for Carson Wentz would they spend for Matt Ryan?

There is no questioning the fact that Matt Ryan is a far better quarterback than Carson Wentz. Carson Wentz was traded to Indy for a pick that ended up being a first-rounder and a third-round pick after a terrible season with Philly.  Ryan should be worth more than this considering how much better and healthier he has been throughout his career. Though Indy lacks a first-round pick this season Atlanta could demand day two picks as well as player compensation from a deep Colt’s roster.

The only downside of this move for Ryan is the fact he would be headed to a stacked AFC race. Lamar Jackson, Deshaun Watson, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Russell Wilson, and Justin Herbert are all in the AFC. It is a stacked conference that is going to give Ryan all he can handle even with a great Colt’s roster.

Still, it would be a better situation for Ryan and gives Atlanta a trade partner that is obviously willing to spend on the quarterback position. Ryan gives the Colts the leadership and clutch ability that Wentz lacked, and the Falcons can gain more player and draft assets to start what will be a full rebuild.
