Atlanta Falcons draft a quarterback in this full 7 round mock draft
By Nick Halden
There is an argument that if Justyn Ross had a different quarterback at Clemson last season he would be a day one selection. He has the size and speed that teams look for in a number one receiver. His consistency and production are what is keeping him from going earlier in this draft. Atlanta needs a receiver and Ross would be a great fit regardless of who the quarterback is.
Ross produced at an elite level when Trevor Lawrence was the quarterback and profiled to be a top draft pick at his position before an injury delayed his junior year. His production and yards-per-catch both went in the wrong direction as Clemson struggled regression as a program during the 2021 season.
Ross still is far too talented and put far too much tape together to ignore his potential. If he is still on the board nearly a hundred picks into the draft Atlanta should bring him in without question. He is a great fit and brings the size Atlanta has lacked at the position since parting ways with Julio Jones. If Atlanta isn’t able to draft Justyn Ross, George Pickens, and Skyy Moore are both intriguing fits as well for a franchise that is going to need to add at least three receivers before the season gets underway.
