Falcons new CB Casey Hayward praises A.J. Terrell

One of the Atlanta Falcons’ best signings this offseason has been cornerback Casey Hayward who played for the Las Vegas Raiders last season.

Hayward is a guy who has seen it all throughout his ten years in the NFL. If he says something, you should listen and he had nothing but high praise for his running mate, A.J. Terrell.

As previously stated, the Falcons made a great signing by bringing in the veteran cornerback from Las Vegas. Hayward has spent his NFL career as a Charger and Raider. He has made the Pro Bowl and had numerous seasons of stellar play, he knows what talent looks like and he sees it in A.J. Terrell.

Here is what he had to say:

"I don’t think I’ve ever had a running mate on the other side as talented as AJ"

That quote says it all, Hayward has been in the NFL for ten years, meaning he has seen a lot in his career, for him to say that A.J. Terrell is the most talented corner he has played with is some of the highest praise he could receive.

A.J. Terrell is coming off a season in which he was arguably the best corner in the league, despite not even making the Pro Bowl. Terrell week in and week out locked down his side of the field, doing so without much help from the rest of the defense.

The duo of A.J. Terrell and Casey Hayward gives the Falcons arguably the best secondary that they have had in quite some time. Add in Isaiah Oliver, assuming he has made a complete recovery, and Atlanta has a formidable trio at an important position in the NFL.

The Falcons could actually have a scary secondary this season, hopefully, they get more help from the pass rush than they did last year.
