2. Zamir White

Having watched every snap Zamir White took with the Georgie Bulldogs and knowing the SEC’s track record with running backs it is understandable why White is projected to be drafted. However, he isn’t the right fit for Atlanta and despite being a Georgie product would be an unwise draft pick for the Falcons.

Far too often White was stopped right at the line with Georgie off-setting some of the more dynamic runs that will be on many pre-draft highlight reels. He is a very talented but more traditional running back who like Pickett needs the right system to work at the next level.

Unlike Georgia, the Falcons lack the offensive line to play bully-ball and simply run block and allow White to do what he does best. Atlanta would be better served to attempt to draft White’s teammate James Cook. Cook has the ability to get outside and break a run or line up and run what appears to be an effortless route. White needs a good offensive line and the right offense to allow his skill set to translate to the next level.  He isn’t the right fit for an Atlanta team that should be looking for an option at the position to pair alongside Cordarrelle Patterson.
