It has been a busy off-season for the NFC South with the Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Bucs, Carolina Panthers, and New Orleans Saints all searching for a quarterback. Tampa’s search was ended with Tom Brady coming out of retirement and the Saints and Falcons settling for veteran free-agent options.

The Panthers have stuck with Sam Darnold thus far despite seemingly being rumored to be searching for answers. To be clear these rankings are done without considering the draft only ranking the rosters as they currently stand.

The NFC South certainly appears to be one of the weakest divisions in the league with questions facing all four teams.

Even Tampa has a level of concern about losing key free agents and dealing with Brady’s retirement and quick return. The Saints, Panthers, and Falcons all have quarterback and coaching questions heading into a season that appears wide open in the NFC wildcard race.

San Francisco, Tampa Bay, Green Bay, and the Rams appear to be the only clear contenders in what is without question the weaker conference. Leaving room to wonder if one of these NFC South teams could slip into the wildcard race? From first to last here are where the division ranks as we close in on the draft.
