2. New Orleans Saints

While there should be some concerns about the coaching change in New Orleans the Saints are without question the second-best roster in this division. If Jameis can play at the level he did early last season the Saints will be wildcard contenders and perhaps give Brady a bit of trouble within the division.

Outside of their playoff loss to Brady two seasons ago, the Saints have had Tampa’s number since Brady move to the NFC South. With Sean Payton and Drew Brees now gone there isn’t enough talent to think they can make a run at the division. However, with Michael Thomas returning, a solid defense, and a quarterback upgrade in Winston the Saints are sneaky wildcard contenders.

Winston has more proven success than Sam Darnold or Marcus Mariota and will give the Saints a player capable of winning games. On the flip side, there is also the Winston we watched in Tampa who turned the ball over at an alarming rate. If this Winston shows up the Saints could easily slip to the bottom of the division. Their margin for error is much smaller than it has been in recent seasons due to cap issues and recovering from Sean Payton and Drew Brees respective retirements.
