The focus of the Atlanta Falcons‘ off-season has understandably been at the quarterback position. With franchise icon Matt Ryan leaving Atlanta for Indy in a lopsided trade and Atlanta’s decision to chase Deshaun Watson some of Atlanta’s best moves have been overlooked.

Understandably when you look at the aforementioned poor headline-grabbing decisions the Falcons have made.  However, Atlanta has made a few good decisions this off-season that will make the rebuild a bit easier to watch.

The Atlanta Falcons made three great decisions this off-season that will make the 2022 season less painful

The moves Atlanta has made this off-season have pointed to the fact that the team is actively rebuilding not tanking. They aren’t trying to win right now but they are also making moves to marginally improve the team to make the watchable during the 2022 season.

Deciding not to fully tank is the right move for a team that needs a 4-5 win season to build upon even if that costs them a bit of draft positioning. Fully tanking is a move that takes years to recover from while Atlanta is attempting what appears to be an accelerated rebuild one that was certainly made a bit easier to stomach with these three off-season moves.
