Round Six (190th and 213th overall)

Current Selection: Romeo Doubs, WR (Nevada, 190th); Jeremiah Moon, EDGE (Florida, 213th)

With their final two picks in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Falcons once again spend a round going 50-50 on offense and defense, but with these picks, it’s not likely for them to be anything more than rotational players.

Starting with Doubs (pronounced dubs), while his Nevada career saw him reach 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons, his run-after-catch talent needs major improvement for him to fully translate to the next level. Also, while his 6-foot-2 frame is average for a receiver in the league, he does showcase the ability and demeanor to go up and make contested catches without giving up on the play.

While he might not be a great answer for a completely decimated receiving core, he probably has more of a chance to make the field and see plays than Christian Blake has.

As for Moon, there’s really not much to say about him. He was medically redshirted due to injury as a true freshman and then had a foot injury that required surgery in a “super-senior” 2020 campaign, which may be why his draft stock plummeted. Now, could Moon prove all the doubters wrong? Absolutely. Any player has that potential to; they just need to be in the right situation.

While his length and ability to stop the run are modest at best, he’s a very raw prospect that could just be a camp body for the Falcons.
