4 Quarterbacks the Atlanta Falcons should consider drafting
By Nick Halden
Despite signing Marcus Mariota to a two-year deal during the off-season the Atlanta Falcons could still choose to draft a quarterback. Where the quarterbacks in this draft will land remains a mystery. A year after Trevor Lawrence was the obvious first pick in the draft where the first quarterback will be picked and who that quarterback will be is far from obvious.
For Atlanta the decision of whether or not to select a quarterback will be determined by the teams ahead of them and who is still on the board. The most obvious landing spot for a quarterback ahead of the Falcons would be in Carolina where the Panthers are still stuck with Sam Darnold as their current starter.
Aside from the Panthers, the Giants and Texans are both quarterback possibilities though both teams seem committed to their current starters. Daniel Jones seems to be locked in as the starter in New York despite his performance.
Davis Mills quietly had a solid rookie season and gave the Texans plenty of reason to think he could be the long-term answer at the position. All of this points to the fact there is a great chance the Falcons will have a shot at drafting their preferred target in the first or second round. With this in mind, here are the four quarterbacks Atlanta should be targeting.
