2. New York Giants

The New York Giants acquiring Baker Mayfield would be a shocking off-season move, it is one they should consider, however. Baker is clearly better than Daniel Jones, Mike Glennon, or Jake Fromm and would give the Giants a chance at competing in a winnable division. The Cowboys have lost a lot of talent while Washington and Philly are headed into the season with Carson Wentz and Jalen Hurts as their projected starters.

Baker is an upgrade over Jones that would give at the very least make the Giants relevant. Something they haven’t been over the last decade. Mayfield to New York is somewhat wishful thinking considering the entertainment value of Mayfield moving to the NFC East and dealing with the New York media.

At the very least the Giants could bring Baker in and allow him to compete with Jones and prove he can help them take a step forward. He is clearly a better quarterback and would make improve a franchise that has been stuck in neutral since Eli Manning led them to a second Super Bowl win over the Patriots in the 2011 season. This doesn’t imply Baker is capable of winning a Super Bowl in New York, rather that he gives the team a better chance to win than Daniel Jones and would make the Giants something they haven’t been for nearly a decade since, interesting.
