The Falcons had a pretty predictable first-round pick a year ago, while many fans were lobbying for Justin Fields, there is no denying that everyone saw the selection of tight end Kyle Pitts from a mile away. He was considered to be the best player in the draft and luckily he fell into the laps of the Falcons.

However, the 2022 NFL Draft will be vastly different for the Falcons as no one knows which direction they will go. It is obvious as you can look at numerous mock drafts and they each will have Atlanta going in a totally different direction.

No one has any idea what the Falcons will do with their top pick

The Atlanta Falcons are being looked at as a team that needs to fill many different holes, therefore they could draft virtually any position with their eighth-overall pick.

Peter Schrager says it here, Atlanta is truly a team that will select the “Best Player Available.” This means that their draft is very dependent on what the seven teams in front of them do. Whichever player ends up dropping to them, expect that they will snag that player.

If they do not love any of the players that fall to them, they might make a trade with another team, so they can pick up extra draft picks to fill holes on their roster.

Terry Fontenot has even said it himself, they are going to select the best player available and build the team from there.

There is no way to guess what might happen on draft day, this means there is no way to guess who the Falcons might end up with. Will it be Kyle Hamilton? Will it be Kayvon Thibodeaux? No one knows the answer to that.

One thing is certain, the Falcons have a very intriguing pick, it will make for some great suspense come draft night.
