Round 1, Pick 8: Jordan Davis, DT Georgia

Here is an exciting pick for a lot of Falcons fans as Jordan Davis gets to stay home to play with the Falcons.

This was a pretty surprising pick by the computer as Davis is no doubt a freak but is his position worth taking in the top ten? Certainly, there is an argument for and against it.

Nonetheless, Jordan Davis becomes Grady Jarrett’s running mate to form a deadly duo for the Falcons lackluster defensive line. This certainly fills a need, as would any other position, so it could certainly end up being the team’s pick come draft night.

Jordan Davis’s stock shot up when he ran a sub-5 second 40-yard dash in the combine, in fact, he was well under the 5-second mark. It is a terrifying thought for opposing offensive lineman as how can a guy who weighs well over 300 pounds run like that? It is truly insane and was one of the greatest combine performances in league history.

He would become the Falcons version of Vita Vea down in Tampa Bay, and if you have watched Vita Vea and his impact on the Buccaneers, then you should get excited.
