Round 4, Pick 114: Tyler Badie, RB Missouri

If the Falcons are going to take a running back they should not take one any higher than round four, there are just too many other more pressing needs and you can find some great running backs in later rounds.

Tyler Badie is a change-of-pace back. He has good elusiveness as he is a smaller player. He is also very reliable when it comes to not fumbling, something that should not be overlooked.

Round 5, Pick 151: Alex Wright, EDGE UAB

Expect to see the Falcons double down on edge rushers, as it may be the weakest position on their entire roster. Alex Wright has the type of size that coaches love in their edge players. He will be a project player, but a player who could turn into a very good pass rusher down the road.

Round 6, Pick 190: Lucas Krull, TE Pittsburgh

Tight end is a very underrated need for the Atlanta Falcons, yes they have Kyle Pitts who is one of the best in the NFL but Arthur Smith loves to run two tight end sets, drafting another tight end is certainly a possibility for Terry Fontenot.

Lucas Krull is six-foot-six, so his size is certainly to the NFL’s standards. He has consistent hands, but his weaknesses appear when he tries to get open. That likely will not improve in the NFL but he can still be a productive backup option.
