As the draft rapidly approaches, there seems to be as much uncertainty around the Falcons as ever. Literally, no one has any idea which way Atlanta could go with their top pick, there are so many positions, let alone players, that the Falcons could take.

However, in a recent mock draft, Peter King named two players that he is hearing are favorites of the Dirty Birds.

Peter King mocks two players to the Falcons that he is hearing they like

First of all, Peter King in his mock draft, mentions how the Falcons could go any number of directions with their eighth-overall pick, but he ends up landing on Drake London, the big receiver out of USC.

He bases this pick off of what he is hearing around the team and how they “love” London.

There is certainly a lot to like about Drake London as a player, he is a big, physical presence on the outside, a guy who can go snag the ball, but there are question marks around him and if he has the type of quickness and speed to have success.

There is also the argument that they could instead take a receiver with one of their second-round picks as it is a deep receiver class.

Moving on in the mock draft, King has the Falcons trading back into the first round to take a quarterback that they “like.”

Matt Corral out of Ole Miss lands with the team with the 32nd overall pick. This is completed with a projected trade with the Lions who hold the last pick in the first round. Peter King has Atlanta trading away their 43rd overall pick and a second-round pick in next year’s draft for the 32nd pick.

All things considered, assuming the Falcons are convinced that Corral is their guy, that is not very much to trade up 11 spots to select their potential franchise quarterback.

In the end, we will have to wait to see what happens on Thursday night as you can never be quite sure what to believe when it comes to pre-draft rumors.
